The One Must-Eat Ramen in Singapore

This sounds like the best thing ever, well, in reality this is my go-to place whenever I crave for Ramen in Singapore, your taste and mine may just differ. There are quite a few well-known Japanese Ramen Restaurants here like iPuddo. However, Keisuke Ramen has a special place in my “Ramen Tummy”. They are better known as Ramen Keisuke Tonkotsu King Four Seasons (豚骨王 春夏秋冬).

As the name implies, Tonkotsu King has four Ramen selection off its menu – Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. This is based on the four seasons climate available in Japan.

I normally frequent the outlet either at Payar Lebar or Bugis. Keep in mind that due to its popularity, some queue is expected during weekends and dinner time but if you really need to go, my experience is as long as you arrive before 7pm, the crowd is still manageable, often able to be seated in the shop within 10 minutes.

Unlimited Hard Boiled Egg and Bean Sprouts for your indulgence!

Tonkotsu King offers complimentary Marinated Bean Sprouts and Hard Boiled Eggs. They taste good and are good appetizer while waiting for the main dish to be served. Did I mention that they are unlimited too! It normally takes 15-20 minutes for the Ramen to be served.

What to like about Tonkotsu King Four Season:

  • Fresh sesame seeds for you to grind and put as toping on your ramen.
  • Distinctively flavored thick pork based broth made from pork bones, collagen and chicken bones
  • Ability to personalize noodle’s texture – I like Hard
  • Ability to customize soup’s taste – I like Strong
  • Flavored egg tastes so so good!
My Tonkotsu Summer Edition is served. Added a hard boiled egg too.

My Tonkotsu Summer – The spiciness combined with the thick and strong broth tastes so good! Sometimes I would put two hard-boiled eggs in to simmer for some flavor and eat them once I have finished my noodle.

Seems like I am not the only person who likes Tonkotsu King Ramen:

The noodles were so springy, the soft-boiled eggs so chewy and the yolk was almost runny. Perfection. – Fiona Seah at

Autumn ($12.90) is clearly my favourite, made with three assorted mushrooms to reflect the abundance of mushroom during the season. While a little heavy on the bonito, the entire broth feels tasty umami and easy to finish. – Daniel Food Diary
