Remember Inn Inle Lake Myanmar Experience
I have decided to write a detailed review about Remember Inn at Inle Lake because I am really happy with the hospitality I received. While the it is a simple hotel, it is the most comfortable hotel I stayed during this trip.
The Room
I always think that securing a hotel in developing countries via online booking websites like Agoda is like a lucky dip, you will never know what are you getting until you see it.
The room looked like 80’s, The bed frame was constructed with solid wood, the mattress were soft to sleep on. A fan controller was situation in the middle of the bed headboard, I thought that was funny but after sleeping here for 3 nights, I would say it’s a handy location because the room could be really cold in the middle of the night.
The air conditioner was new and so was the TV, though not your typical flat screen LCD TV panel. I did not find a channel which attracted my attention throughout my stay due to the language barrier, most shows were in native language, not a surprise.
I was given a normal key with a wooden keychain, this is different than your normal keycard.
On the side of my bed, there was a desk with chairs and a medium sized mirror, they were clean. A wardrobe cabinet is located beside the desk, I did not use it during my stay though.
Here’s a view from my bed towards the entrance doorway. I used the hanger on the left to hang my towel. Quite a convenient location too.
Bathroom
The bathroom was spacious with the necessary equipment even a pair to toothbrush and toothpaste is provided by Remember Inn. Everything is clean and I like the idea of have a ventilation fan within it too.
A proper shower head with hot water was included in the room, dedicated shower for myself, a little treat I am enjoying in my Myanmar adventure.
The sun shines in around 6.20am every morning during my stay, I liked the idea of having the lower half of the window covered up with a layer or cloth, this provided some privacy for the guests. It was nice to have the sun waking me up every morning by shining on me.
Rooftop Breakfast Treat
Breakfast was served at rooftop, guests had to walk pass this walkway, take a couple of stairs to arrive at the restaurant. It is a very simple setting.
I enjoyed the view, sitting right here while sipping either my black coffee or 100% pure and fresh avocado juice. What a way to spend the morning.
Coffee was served hot, consistently and the waitress was kind enough to refill my coffee cup with hot coffee every time she noticed that it was empty.
The waitress came with a sheet of Breakfast Menu and gave me some time to think about what I wanted. While it mentioned that one can only choose one of the selections, she was kind enough to offer me another set of meal when I asked politely.

Here’s my Banana pancake and also Mohingka. I finished both of them together with a few avocado juices and coffee. The Banana pancake was sweet and perfect for a “breakfast dessert” and the Mohingka tastes like rice noodle with some vegetables, eggs and their local spices, I like this local disk.
Well, I could never get enough of the avocado juices and coffee. I sat at the rooftop a while with my notebook, jotting down my thoughts at that moment.
The next day I tried the Burmese style fried rice with egg on top, it tasted similar like the Chinese style fried rice.
Remember Inn Lounging Area
Remember Inn offered quite a bit of space to walk around on the ground floor. There is a dedicated space for bottled water, it is free for all guest to refill and if you fancy, you could even put some money into a donation box right beside it as a token of appreciation.
A swing is available for guest, I saw some children enjoyed themselves here. It was quite creative of them to build the stand using PVC pipes.
In the evening, this traditional fishing trap came to light, it was beautiful, if you are staying here, be sure to take a photo.
Tour
Remember Inn offered multiple services including bus tickets, taxi, flight tickets or even laundry service. The prices were reasonable, the price for Inle Lake Boat Tour was 18,000ks. I got mine a slightly cheaper via a boatmen around the street for 15,000ks. Sunset was included too.
There were also some photo showcase of places of interest around Inle Lake. All photos were original photos which showed the actual look of these places.
Bottom Line
Overall, I enjoyed my stay here and would surely recommend anyone who are looking for a place to stay at Inle Lake to consider Remember Inn. We booked our stay through Agoda.com.

- Super friendly staffs, always with smiley faces
- Delicious breakfast
- Spacious room with consistent hot water to shower
- Spacious lounging area and good gallery
- Five minutes walk to night marker and street
- Ten minutes slow walk to the boat area
- They were kind enough to post my postcards
