- Spacious resort compound — easy to walk around and relax
- Large pool with plenty of lounging chairs

- Only 2-minute walk to Jerman Beach (great for sunset)
- Balcony with pool view was a highlight
- Free airport shuttle (very convenient)
👎 What I Didn’t Like
- Breakfast is underwhelming (and flies can be an issue outdoors)
- Rooms use local power sockets — may need adapter
- Feels slightly dated compared to newer Holiday Inns (e.g. Canggu)
- Bugs in the evening — keep windows closed
- Occasional noise from nearby establishments at night
- Very small lift — tight fit for strollers
- Floor traffic noise due to proximity to airport. Request a room further from reception / main road

We booked a standard garden view room, which also had a partial pool view.
The balcony was a standout — with a cosy sofa, small table, and even a drying rack (very practical after pool time).

- Bathroom was clean and well maintained
Our room was located far from reception, which initially felt inconvenient — but turned out to be a plus, as it was much quieter away from the main traffic areas.

The breakfast buffet offers a wide selection, including a live egg station, with an especially impressive range of local pastries — one of the widest I’ve seen in Bali.
There’s good variety overall, and vegetarian options such as bread, pastries, eggs, cereals, and rice are sufficient for a full meal, though fairly basic.
That said, the quality is average and not particularly memorable, and outdoor seating can attract flies if food is left uncovered. For a more comfortable experience, it’s best to sit indoors.
🧸 Kids Club (Family Highlight)
One of the standout features of Holiday Inn Resort Baruna Bali is its Rascals Kids Club. While it’s not the newest or most modern kids club in Bali, it’s well-run, engaging, and more than enough to keep younger children entertained.
During my stay, I found the staff to be friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming environment for kids. There are activities like crafts, games, and poolside fun, and it’s easy for children to spend a few hours here.
For a short stay or a final night in Bali, it adds real value and reinforces the hotel’s strong family-friendly appeal.
🛵 Getting Around & Food Delivery
It is in Kuta, getting a Gojek is fairly straightforward, you can go to waterbom easily.
Food delivery was also prompt and have a wide selection of vegetarian restaurant! We even ordered fried banana and it arrived hot.
