We went for a short getaway to Phuket, Thailand in November last year. As it was a last minute trip and it was a short flight, after comparing what was available, we decided to take Jetstar, a budget airline in our region.

Jetstar SIN-HKT – Boarding & Seat
Boarding went smoothly, we each had 1 carry on and there were no issues bringing them onto our plane or with finding a space for them in the overhead bins onboard.
If you are a tall person, you may want to consider to be on the emergency seat for some extra leg room. We were lucky to be seated at the emergency row, for free. The only downside with the emergency row is that you are not allowed to store your personal belongings underneath the seat in front of you.
Our flight had a 3-3 seats configuration and offered no electronic inflight entertainment system but they did offered a paper magazine for your nearly 2 hour flight.
Jetstar SIN-HKT – In-Flight Entertainment
They do have drinks and snacks which you may purchase on board. We did not get anything though, we were preparing our stomach for Thai food and that iconic fresh coconut on the beach .
Jetstar SIN-HKT – Thailand Arrival Card
The flight attendant was kind enough to provide us with the immigration arrival card. They tried to pass it to everyone but I heard someone complaining that they did not get it because there weren’t enough. All arrival tourists will need to fill this out prior to speaking with an immigration officer.
Jetstar SIN-HKT – Lavatory
While it is a budget airline, the lavatory was well maintained and they even had a freshener inside. All good here.
Jetstar SIN-HKT – Bottom Line
Our flight went on alright, there were no issues with our seats and our carry on luggage as some budget airline are becoming really fussy about your carry on. We enjoyed our flight and will definitely consider Jetstar as a short haul option in the future.
