Grand Mercure Bali Seminyak Review (2026): Good Value, But Not Perfect
⚡ Quick Verdict
Grand Mercure Bali Seminyak is a mid-range hotel near Double Six Beach with spacious rooms and family-friendly facilities. It’s a convenient and practical choice for families, but may not suit you if you’re looking for a premium experience or standout food.

First Impressions
We stayed here for 4 nights in a Premium Room and were upgraded to a pool view. We arrived just before Nyepi, so traffic was quite bad and the hotel was busy — but our room was ready by 2pm, which we appreciated.
The property feels spacious, especially around the pool and lobby, and even during Nyepi it didn’t feel too crowded.

🛏️ Room
Rooms are relatively spacious compared to many Seminyak hotels, with a comfortable king bed and a functional balcony.

- Bed: comfortable for a good night’s sleep . Real king sized unlike Holiday Inn Canggu
- Space: spacious even with multiple luggages and a crib
- Noise: some external noise as our room is right beside stairs and lifts
- Bathroom: functional but slightly dated. Bath tub is a great addition for children
- Balcony: Decent sized and practical
- Minor maintenance issues (patchwork, malfunction USB ports)

🍳 Breakfast / Food
Breakfast offers a wide spread — including Indonesian dishes (like nasi jinggo), Indian, Korean, and Western options such as pork bacon, pastries, and made-to-order eggs.

There are also fun extras like ice cream and candy, which kids will enjoy. Staff are attentive and quick to assist with seating and requests.
However, the variety remains quite similar over multiple days, so by day 3–4 it can feel repetitive. Overall, it’s more about quantity than quality.

Vegetarian options are available and all the dishes are properly labelled.

Fried noodle, fried rice, Mac & Cheese, hash brown and eggs are some of the options available. Yogurt and pastry selected are a bit limited for a mid-range hotel.

One thing to call out is the availability of water stations in multiple areas of the restaurant.

Tip – Order coffee from the servers, they are made to order using an espresso machine vs getting your own at the breakfast are. Thank me later!
📍 Location
Great for convenience, less ideal if you want a quiet retreat.
- 5 minutes walk to Double Six Beach
- 5 minutes to many cafes, restaurants, and convenience stores nearby
- Busy roads during peak hours
There were multiple vegetarian restaurants around the corner, and good coffee! You are at a good spot if you are vegetarian roamers like us!
🛵 Getting Around & Food Delivery
Food delivery via Gojek works very well here. The hotel is easy for drivers to access, and most orders arrived quickly while still warm.
As for going around Bali, similar to Canggu, it is super easy to order a Gojek car ride. Drivers normally arrive within 10 minutes.
💡 Tip: consider Gojek Plus if you plan to use delivery or transport frequently. I do not use Grab because it charges an additional 3% with foreign card use. Overall Gojek is cheaper anyway!
🚖 For Airport transfer, we use Bali airport transfer on Klook. This is cheaper than hotel transfers and less anxiety vs getting a Gojek if your have an early flight, like us.

🧠 Final Verdict — Should You Book?
👉 Yes — if you want a practical, well-located stay
