Updated June 2023 – I made a transfer recently, it took only 2 days.
One thing I very much dislike about DBS Woman Card is that their points expire within 12 months. That being said, it is the only card I have that rewards 4 miles per dollar spend of up to $2000 per month. I do have Citibank Rewards card but the 4 miles per dollar spend is capped at $1000 monthly.
With some miles expiring soon and after looking at the redemption catalogue, I ended up transferring my miles into my Krisflyer account. I am betting that I’ll use these miles within 3 years for fight redemptions. I’m positive that with Singapore reopening, air travel will be possible within this time frame.
Miles Transfer
I wanted to do the transfer via DBS app, but I don’t know how, so i ended up transferring via a desktop machine. It was pretty straight forward logging into DBS redemption website.
For this redemption, it needs to be in 5,000 DBS points block. It is 5,000 DBS points for 10,000 Krisflyer miles. The redemption rate has been the same for a few years.
I got the whole process sorted out within 5 minutes. My DBS points were deducted immediately. Each conversion of DBS Points will be subjected to an administrative fee of S$26.75 (includes GST) and will be charged to DBS Credit Card.
Within 2 days, I was able to see the miles transferred into my Krisflyer account.
Closing Thought 💭
I love how quickly this conversion process is. Hopefully someday we will all get to fly to wherever we want to! Stay safe.
